The Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas warmly invites Scouting and American Heritage Girls (AHG) families to the:

Sunday, August 30

Mass begins at 2:00 PM

Shawnee Mission Park, Shelter #10

This annual gathering brings the community together for worship, followed immediately by a family BBQ and fellowship. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow scouting families and kick off the new year with faith and community spirit.

Scout Sunday

Sunday, Feb. 7, 2027

At YOUR Parish

Recognizing the birth of the ScoutsBSA program, Scout Sunday is celebrated in Catholic parishes throughout the world on a Sunday in early February. Cub Scouts, ScoutsBSA, and American Heritage Girls members are all encouraged to wear their uniforms to the mass they attend on this special day.

Scout Sunday 2027 (according to Scouting.org and NCCS ): February 7th, 2027

It is a great time for Cub Packs to award Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei medals.

2:00 mass, reception with Archbishop Naumann, clean up
