Kick it off! Best scouting Year Ever!
Lord Jesus, bless all those you have called to serve the Church.
Lord Jesus, how are you calling me to serve you and the Church? (pause for a moment)
What is my Vocation?
Lord Jesus, help me, your servant, to know how I am called to serve.
St. George, patron Saint of Scouts, pray for us.
Amen
Lord Jesus, at Nazareth You were a model of love, respect, and obedience.
Grant me the grace to study Your example and to imitate
You, so that I may grow in grace and in love for You.
Amen
Almighty God, we raise our minds and hearts to You at the beginning of our meeting.
We ask Your blessing on all we shall do and say.
May the resolutions passed be for the honor and glory of God and the good progress of Scouting.
May this meeting help us toward the better fulfillment of the Scout Oath and law, so that we and the Scouts entrusted to our care may grow in fidelity to our country and in the knowledge and love of Your Son, Jesus our Lord.
Amen

Pure and loyal Lily of the Mohawks,

and respectful towards others. Pray that God will give us Perseverance to be resourceful And responsible in treating
All peoples as His true images. Through your love of Our Crucified Lord, Help us to be honest and helpful to our neighbor.
With you, we reverently praise
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
And humbly ask for your intercession
of Prayers and protection
For all American Heritage Girls.
Amen
May the Holy Spirit be always with us, especially as we meet together today. Inspire us in our deliberations, so that our resolutions may be wise and practical and that action will follow our resolutions.
Amen.
Dear Lord, bless my Scout Leaders who spend a lot of time and energy to help me grow up well.
Guide them in their work; give them patience and wisdom, and reward them in this life and in the next.
Amen.
O God, Creator of heaven and earth, protector of all who trust in You, be with us on this journey;
be our guardian and guide us on this way.
May no harm come to us, no difficulty be too great to overcome.
Bless us with good weather, may all go well with us and may we reach our destination safely.
Amen
Dear Lord, thank You for this day.
Thank You for all that you have done, and all that You will do.
Lord Jesus, bless us on this day, keep us safe from harm, keep us well on this day.
Protect us from evil and grant us peace.
Love us, guide us, and grant us strength to live today as You have taught us.
This we do ask in your name,
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
(This prayer is designed to demonstrate the Scout Law)
Dear Lord,
Bless all those everywhere who contribute to shape the hearts, minds and bodies of young people.
Let us remember what they have taught and apply it daily.
When facing deceit and dishonesty, let us be Trustworthy.
If we see hypocrisy and faithlessness, let us be Loyal.
Where disregard of others and mere materialism prevail, let us be Helpful.
When we find people in despair, let us be Friendly.
In an atmosphere of ill manner, let us be Courteous.
Where some measure manliness in brutality and crudeness, let us be Kind.
Though lawbreaking and rule-scoffing are common, let us be Obedient.
While others grumble and grouch, let us be Cheerful.
In an environment blighted by waste and extravagance, let us be Thrifty.
When confronted with danger and temptation, let us be Brave.
As we see filth and pollution everywhere, let us be Clean.
While witnessing impiety, let us remember to be Reverent.
In short, in a world that has for generation after generation lamented the lack of good examples,
let us, as Scouts, stand out, grow up, and be real adults.
Amen
May the Great Master of all Scouts be with us until we meet again.
Dear Heavenly Father, Help to keep my honor bright and teach me that integrity of character is my most priceless possession.
Grant that I may do my best today, and strive to do even better tomorrow.
Teach me that duty is a friend and not an enemy, and help me face even the most disagreeable task cheerfully.
Give me the faith to understand my purpose and life, open my mind to the truth and fill my heart with love.
I am thankful for all the blessings you have bestowed upon my country. Help me to do my duty to my country and to know that a good nation must be made from good men.
Help me to remember my obligation to obey the Scout Law, and give me understanding, so that it is more than mere words.
May I never tire of the joy of helping other people or look the other way when someone is in need.
You have given me the gift of a body; make me wise enough to keep it healthy, that I might be able serve better.
You are the source of all wisdom, help me to have an alert mind, teach me to think and help me to learn discipline.
In all that I do and in every challenge I face, help me to know the difference between right and wrong, and lead me in obedience on a straight path to a worthy goal.
Amen.
Heavenly Father, I pray to You for my parents.
They gave me life through Your power and have fed, clothed, and protected me in spite of occasional worries and difficulties.
Bless them for all the love, strength, and health of body and soul; unite all our family one day in Your home in heaven.
Amen.
by Lord Baden-Powell; Founder of the Boy Scouts.
Our Father, make us Trustworthy, for there are those who trust us.
Make us Loyal, for through loyalty we reach our highest ideals.
Teach us to be Helpful, for through helpfulness do we forget our selfness.
Make us Friendly, for there are so many who need a friend.
Train us in Courtesy, for courtesy is the carpet on life's floor.
Make us kind for kindness is the oil in the cogs of life's machinery.
Insist upon our Obedience, for victory comes only to him who obeys.
Make us Cheerful, for cheerfulness is the green grass among the rocks in the path of life.
Train us in Thrift, for thrifty habits brighten our future.
Make us Brave; brave in the dark and brave in the light; but save us from becoming fakers in bravery.
Help us to be Clean - clean in thoughts, in speech, and in deed. And may we remember that our bodies are Thy holy temples, and that any abuse thereof is to tamper with Thy Great Plans.
Above all, O God, help us to be Reverent toward all things which Thou hast made for our enjoyment when we are in Thy great out-of-doors, among the trees, along the streams, and on the Hillsides. May we know it was Thee who made the waters to flow, the trees to reach heavenward, the mountains to endure to all ages.
In all these things we ask that Thou wilt help us. And may we never forget the Scout Oath to which we all have pledged ourselves, so that through Thy help we may live these points of our Scout Law.
Amen
For Food, for Raiment, for Life, for Opportunity, for Friendship and Fellowship;
We thank Thee, O Lord.
Amen.
Help us, dear God, to love thee day by day
To do our duty to you and enjoy our play
To keep our cub scout promise the best that we can
And to do our best always to help our fellow man.
Amen.
